Fraunhofer ITWM will host the 2nd International Conference on Highly Flexible Slender Structures (HFSS) from September 22 to 26, 2025, focusing on systems with slender geometries that undergo large deformations.
The program will feature keynote speeches from internationally renowned scientists and ten specialized mini-symposia. The topics will range from nonlinear beam and shell models to contact mechanics, computational geometry, numerical integration, and industrial applications. Fraunhofer ITWM researchers will contribute to sessions on constitutive modelling, textiles and macroscopic structures, and industrial simulation challenges, while fleXstructures will be present with live IPS demonstrations and insightful presentations.
