Improve your knowledge of IPS and learn skills and techniques that help you take your projects to the next level.
During this interactive series, our experienced and dedicated trainers will provide you with information on specific topics and tailor the sessions according to your needs and skill level. This enables a valuable exchange of knowledge.
In the past, we have received great suggestions for topics for the Best Practice Sessions. If you are interested in a specific topic, please contact us at info@flexstructures.de.
Upcoming Sessions in 2026:
February 4, 2026 – 1.30 pm (CET)
Best Practice Session: Virtual Reality in IPS
In this session we will focus on the IPS VR functionality. We will answer questions such as: What is IPS VR? What do I need it for? What are its strengths and how can it be used most effectively?
What to expect:
• What do you need to get started with VR? → Hardware requirements → Performance improvements
• What can IPS be used for?
• What are the strengths of IPS VR? → Simple: Assembly use case → Complex: Motion capture with Family

April 22, 2026 – 1.30 pm (CET)
Best Practice Session: Durability & Dynamics in IPS
In this session, we provide an overview of the now independent add-on modules IPS Dynamics and IPS Durability. Building on IPS Cable Simulation, these modules enable even more accurate simulations and the consideration of additional physical effects.
With IPS Dynamics, detailed analyses of the vibrational behavior of cables can be performed, allowing you to realistically investigate dynamic loads such as engine movements or road agitations.
IPS Durability allows for the comparison of different cable configurations with respect to their damage potential. In combination with physical testing, it also enables quantitative assessments of cable lifetime.

Previous Sessions in 2025:
Webinar: IPS fleX Hub Introduction and Component Library
The development of vehicle wiring harnesses and hoses is highly complex, often hindered by data breaks and iterative processes. To address this, fleXstructures, together with leading automotive OEMs and suppliers, has created a fully digital, physics-based design and validation process. In this webinar, we present the tools that enable seamless, real-time design and validation of vehicle wiring harnesses through a digital twin approach.

Best Practice Session: Cable Clip Functions
This Best Practice Session focused on the functions of cable clips in IPS. The recording explains what kinematic clips are and how they are used in various applications, ranging from rigid components to freely suspended clips. Find out how to define clips, utilise their degrees of freedom and manage them efficiently in the library. Benefit from practical examples and tips for optimal use.
